Ladies gear up,

You will see more flesh,

In the names of beef, mutton and chicken.

You will have to work it out

Into korma, kalia and kofta.

The dishes in porcelain,

Sail  smooth from the kitchen slab

To the table, opulent and clad white.

The texture, the colour, the ingredients,

And the flavour assessed of each bowl,

But the sweat spilled,

 The energy spent,

And the back pain earned,

To make the dishes savoury and rich,

All sneaked off impalpable.
