The Fear

The fear to be forsaken by friend,

The fear to be forsaken by beloved,

The fear to be forsaken by husband,

The fear to be forsaken by wife,

The fear to be forsaken by children,

And the fear to be forsaken by all and the society,

But never the fear to be forsaken by the Almighty and truth,

And countless falsities spring their heads,

And the dark and deep pit,

The fear’s caravan’s terminus.
