The trees fall and bleed

 And curse the world.

The vehicles whiz by,

And the dark smoke challenges the air,

Throttles the ones caught in its snare.

The slush by the drain lingers,

And grins and spits upon the passers-by.

The sand and cement in open mounds,

Play pranks with the world and its sky,

Catching the world under the shroud of haze

And snatching the sky of its blue veil.

The rain at the top hangs its head in shame

And hesitates to come down and wash away the sins.
