Truth

Had they not tasted that fruit,

And were in that blessed state forever,

And were not expulsed to the dark planet,

We would have never come across it,

That is a prized pearl swaddled from the eyes,

That one has to unwrap with fortitude’s fingers,

Taking off the swathes of trials and tribulations,

Sickness, hardships and misfortunes,

And bite hard at its kernel,

              The truth.
